As an urban designer, I was tasked with the exciting opportunity to bring a street cape, trail, and park project to life for the city of Lewisville, Texas. Our team was in the concept design phase, and I was driven to craft a variety of layouts that would embody the city's larger vision and requirements. After meticulous consideration, we proudly presented a comprehensive masterplan that would turn this urban space into an iconic destination, not just for Lewisville, but for the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
I was inspired to bring creativity and innovation to the table with my sketch iterations for the layout design of this exciting project. This project boasts three key components that I was thrilled to develop - a dynamic streetscape spine, a scenic trail along a power line easement, and a picturesque boardwalk at a tranquil pond. Each aspect was thoughtfully designed to bring a unique character to the overall space and contribute to the overall success of the project.
I was driven by a desire to bring the user experience of this park to life, to truly showcase its character. To do so, I employed my technical skills in Rhino3D to model the site, then utilized Lumion and Photoshop to create stunning renderings that conveyed the essence of this urban oasis. My goal was to create a visual representation that would capture the imagination of stakeholders and bring the park to life in a meaningful way.
